About JOI. Johnson Odakkal Initiatives (JOI) is dedicated to jump-start voyages in learning life and legacy through transformational coaching. Internship Opportunity. Any member of the JOI team is at their core a facilitator for excellence through Knowledge Influence, Growth Solutions and Life Navigation. The extant Knowledge Internship - Monsoon 2024 will be an unparalleled opportunity for students, scholars, and young professionals to learn and grow. Interns will work closely with JOI associates under the guidance of JOI CEO, Dr. Johnson Odakkal. Assignments will include research, analysis, content creation, and media curation related to areas such as Geopolitics, International Relations, Geoeconomics, Maritime Studies, Peace & Conflict, Human Rights, Global Conflict, and Power & Development. Additionally, interns will support various knowledge spaces and contribute to JOI’s digital presence. Details are outlined subsequently.
Eligibility:
Enrolled in the 1st or Final year of a Master's program in Geopolitics or a related field
Undergraduates in their 2nd or 3rd year of a degree involving study of Geopolitics, International Relations, Geoeconomics, Maritime Studies, Peace & Conflict, Human Rights, Global Conflict, or Power & Development.
Young professionals with academic credentials mentioned above
Willingness to work in a Hybrid Model (up to 12 hours a week) with at least one or two days of in-person engagement at Mumbai Central / Lower Parel
Digital competence and eagerness to learn and apply evolving skills in content curation and digital media
Duration of the Internship. Around 12 weeks in the period 15 July to 30 September 2024.
Fields of Study. Interdisciplinary work involving the following:
- Geopolitics & Maritime Security
- International Relations & Geoeconomics
- Peace & Conflict
- Power, Sovereignty & Human Rights
- Global Conflict
- Sustainability, Development and Maritime Issues
Guidance will be provided to build on an expected minimum awareness of a few areas among the above.
